RETROSPECTIVE OF THE BALKAN TAEKWONDO WTF 2015 CHAMPIONSHIP

The 17th edition of the WTF Balkan Taekwondo Championship, held in Zrenjanin, Serbia, between December 5 and 6, 2015.

The Balkan region has always been the genetic precursor of the great sporting performances, both in team games and in individual sports. Confirmation for the WTF Olympic Taekwondo sport, being the 10 medals obtained in the last two editions of the Olympic Games, results that place statistically, the Balkan region, on the first position of the world ranking in Taekwondo. Among the nations involved in the competition for this area, they participated, with athletes of continental, world and Olympic size, which raised the level of competition to a very high technical-methodical standard.

It is worth mentioning that, among the athletes medaled at the continental and world competitions, some present at this edition of the Balkan Games, took the first step towards the international Taekwondo elite, by participating in the Balkan competition, organized in previous years.
